Flop Soup: Interrupting Your Regularly Scheduled Programming
Good Links contributor Justin Crosby and I have started a podcast!
Flop Soup: The Podcast!
You may have noticed a few months ago that the Good Links got a new section called “Flop Links.” This section covers floppy links from around the internet - people, places, and things who are having an unsuccessful week in a way that’s still fun. We started this section in the Good Links so that I could introduce you to its author Justin — because we’ve been working on a podcast together with our producer David Lai for the past few months! Now that very podcast has launched!
The podcast is called Flop Soup and it’s an expansion on the idea of Flop Links - we talk about things in culture that aren’t working. Think: wayward trends, bad movies, derivative television, unhelpful bouts of capitalism, and more. We also talk about culture generally. It’s fun, it’s flirty, and it drops every Friday.
Where Can You Find Flop Soup?
You can find it anywhere you get your podcasts (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Overcast, etc.).
We also have a website, and you can follow us on Instagram and Twitter.
What About The Good Links?
Don’t worry - they’re still here: I’m writing them every week that I can. I’m just abusing my email list to announce my new project - a tale as old as time! Plus I think if you like the Good Links, there’s a good chance you’ll have some fun listening to Flop Soup.
Whether you’re a newer subscriber or you’ve been with me since (gasp!) 2017, I appreciate your readership! This newsletter keeps me honest, and more importantly: it keeps me sane.
All the best,
Cassandra (& Justin)
I was trying to schedule this to be sent at 8am on Wednesday and Substack betrayed me!!! Apologies to everyone for emailing you at 9:30pm on a Tuesday!
